9:45 AM – Stretching and Vocal Warm ups

10:00 AM – First Fyt of Challenges

  • Use the Force, Luke – Perform something with a puppet
  • A Long, Long Time Ago – Give us your best “No $#!t, There I was” story
  • Aren’t You a Little Short for a Stormtrooper? – Perform a Haiku

12:00 PM – Lunch

12:30 PM – Commedia dell’Arte show “Don’t Get Cocky Flavio” (Part of “Duel of the Fates”)

1:00 PM – Second Fyt of Challenges

  • Duel of the Fates – Mix Star Wars and SCA into any Performing Art
  • I Hate Sand, It Gets Everywhere! – Write and perform the absolute worst love sonnet ever. The more we groan, the better
  • Try Not, Do! – Perform something for the first time (Original or a new song you’ve just learned. Remember, no memorization required!)
  • Trust Your Instincts – Perform a Period piece or SCA song that your Persona might sing

3:00 PM – Class Block

  • Bardic Performance Coaching with Mistress Ambra Michelli
    • Bring your questions, a piece to share in this safe space of constructive coaching, and an open mind. Apply what works for you and share the hour in the company of your creative kin.
  • Instrumental Music Jam with Mistress Aibhilin inghean Daibhidh
    • Bring a instrument (modern instruments are fine!) and play some simple period music together. Never played an instrument? Come by and play with Aibhilin’s instrument petting zoo!
  • Introduction to Improv with Master Mathias Blackett
    • Have fun saying “Yes, and!” and learn the basics of improv, which can help all performers (and heralds, and crowns!) be more comfortable speaking in front of a crowd
  • Beginner English Country Dance with Baron Șimon cel Frumos
    • Learn some easy English Country dances!

4:00 PM – Third Fyt of Challenges

  • Join the Cantina Band – Perform something on an instrument
  • I Love You… I know! – Perform a song written by someone else
  • The Original Trilogy – Read your scroll text and show off the scroll you worked on all day!
  • These Aren’t the Words You’re Looking For… – Perform the piece you wrote using the list of random words given in the morning

6:00 PM – Court

7:00 PM – Dinner Break

We appreciate your assistance in cleaning up the rooms on site that we will not be using for the evenings Bardic Circle

7:30/8:00 PM – Bardic Circle Begins

You will have a chance at the beginning of the Bardic Circle to share any material you weren’t able to share earlier in the day at a challenge!
